Introduction

Project Phases

Phase 7: Training and Handover

Operator training on BMS interface and functions, Maintenance training for facility staff, Provide complete documentation (O&M manuals), Transfer all software, licenses, and passwords, Establish service and support agreements, and Conduct a 30-day post-handover review.

Stakeholder Management

Engage facility managers early in the design phase, Include IT department for network and security requirements, Involve operations staff in commissioning, and Maintain regular communication with building occupants.

Quality Management

Use experienced BMS engineers for design review, Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) before delivery, Implement site acceptance testing (SAT) after installation, and Maintain a punch list for tracking deficiencies.

Risk Management

Identify integration risks with legacy systems, Plan for business continuity during cutover, Have rollback procedures ready, and Ensure spare parts availability.
